Fusion bonded epoxy coating

Fusion bonded epoxy coating a specific type of coating that has been designed to prevent metal surfaces from rusting or being damaged. It consists of epoxy resin and hardener, which are mixed through a process called curing. It is a very fine coat of protective coating on metal that prevents the metal from the weather and oxidation for the abstinence of rust.

The process of applying fusion bonded epoxy coating to metal

The FAC bonding of the epoxy waterproof coating of fusion on the metals has also few steps to follow. Before the coating can be applied, dirt, oil and other contaminants must be removed from the metal to make sure the coating sticks. Then the epoxy resin and hardeners are mixed and coated on the metal in one thin layer. Following this step, the coating is cured by applying heat causing the epoxy to cure and bond to the metal.
